My dear Varadachari,

....

Masters Blessings

I am indebted to you for the love you have for this poor being and I think of how I will be able to repay it. Your love for me is developing which in no way I can repay excepting prayers for the prosperity of yourself and children. I also eagerly wish and pray that the torch of spirituality may remain alight in your family from generation ever and after.

Grossness-A warning

.... The grossness has its own excitement which the abhyasis think as spiritual advancement. Take it as a sure sign of degeneration. One thing in reference to Dr. Mohan Singh, I have to say that it is generally a case with the abhyasi who proceeds on his own dictates of antha-karan which is made of manas, buddhi, chit and ahankar. They are marred and soiled. Everything goes topsy-turvy. In short their vehicle is running in back-gear.

....

Dried State a Divine State

You have written that you feel yourself dried up. That is a very good state and I wish that all of my associates may have it. But all depends upon the grace of God. In your case I am waiting for its advancement. What will be the last pitch of this state? When you will not be able to feel its consciousness. In the fullness of this state man loses the idea of existence he feels that neither he is born nor he will die. He does not feel any power but when he concentrates himself everything is there. This is purely a Divine state. I would like to assure you once more that except one which is reserved for the incarnation of Deity all your super-conscious states are awakened.

....

Love to children and respects to Appaji,

Yours,

Ram Chandra

My dear Varadachari,

....

Prapanna Prabhu, Prabhu-Prapanna

I had once told you that being unaware of the Sanskrit language I had put in Persian names for the three regions after parabrahmad mandal. On Mr. Seshadri's suggestion I have now substituted the Sanskrit names for them and they are:- for the first prapanna, for the second, prabhu, for the third, prabhu-prapanna. Hence forth I shall use the same names.

I am confident that while in sleep, you work somewhere else and when you are quiet you do some Divine work... ...

Individual Creation

I consulted my Master over the question of the individual creation. He agrees with your view and with the method you suggested. He says, "This point will automatically be entered into while proceeding point by point beyond prapanna-prabhu region. If it comes in the chain there is no danger. Just after that there is a point and that is the last one. If one works with it the individual point of creation will open by itself.

Pts after Prapanna Prabhu

It cannot be precisely determined how many points are there after prapanna-prabhu. St. Kasturi has so far crossed 54 of them. Now another thing comes to my mind and that is the point be exercised mildly on the individual point it shall be effective in restoring proper order in its working. But Master says that this method is also correct but we have to be very cautious in touching the individual points. But to bring in the Divine glow from the God's creation point of the individual's is not the work of every preceptor but of a specially favoured one because in case of ordinary one's their will shall quickly slip down.

Transferring of Life

In the old incident of my transferring of my life to one whom you know, I had done it from the point of God's creation and the result was that if I lost a year of my life she got even more than that. I did not know the actual method of it so I did it that way. Once I had asked my Master for the way to do it. But he declined to tell me because as he said he did not trust me in that respect. I have hinted about it may be able to get even more for help in our work by thinking over it. I often think about how to use it in the early stages of abhyas. You should also think over it. If we succeed in this, it will be a great work.

Do not touch God's point of Creation

But I must warn everybody not to touch God's point of creation. As far as I know it is meant only for changing the character of the world. Nothing there is drawn out. It is a secret. One who is bestowed with special powers can only concentrate on it with a suggestion for what be required to be done. I have hinted over it somewhere else also, which I may tell you afterwards. I think, but I am not quite definite yet, that there is some power at the Base. We have yet to think how to utilise it. When I have done it I shall give a diagram of it.

....

With best wishes,

Yours,

Ram Chandra

My dear Varadachari,

.... Since you did not seem to agree with the terms suggested by Shri Seshadri, I give below the actual condition of each, after studying it by going down into it myself. You may thereby judge the terms or suggest their alternatives.:-

Prapanna

1. Prapanna - In this state the abhyasi feels unmeasurable greatness of God, imagining himself to be like an ant on the surface of an ocean. If he ponders over he falls in wonder. This is also one of the stages, above several other lower ones, where there is the danger of the being turned into an avadhuta.

Prabhu

2. Prabhu - Here the abhyasi feels that it is his own lustre that appears in the sun, the moon and the stars. He feels that it was he who sent Shri Krishna and Rama for the adjustment of his work. It was he who revealed the Vedas to the rishis. Everybody passes through it, as my Master has written somewhere, but only the sensitive ones feel it by His Grace, and I was fortunate enough to visualise it. For this, the only method, I think, is that of constant remembrance.

Prabhu-Prapanna

3. Prabhu-prapanna - At this stage an abhyasi feels that devotionary state and prabhu-gati have all faded away and nearness develops to such a state that he feels himself all the time in Brahma, in and out, and charged himself with Divine force.

With best wishes,

Yours,

My dear Varadachari,

Dynamo of Individual Creation

I have arrived at a solution (avoiding risk or danger altogether) about the dynamo of individual creation and I have experimented it on advanced abhyasis and noticed changes. The cases are yet under observation. The inner action seems to tend towards some thing better in the form of a change. But what it is can be known only when actual change comes into effect. One thing I have to study yet is whether we should transmit only once or repeatedly at intervals. This I shall be able to ascertain only when the actual changes have come into effect. This is really sort of nuclear weapon and I shall require combined efforts for it and I hope I shall be able to tell you about it within a month, when some perceptible results have come to light.

Love to children,

Yours,

Ram Chandra

My dear Varadachari,

Submission to the will of God

The effect of the sad incident as displayed in your letter is no doubt shocking and so long as one is in the world in human form, one cannot escape from miseries. This thought of miseries sometimes promotes in one's heart a craving for freedom from the circle of birth and death. Under the circumstances there remains no other course open but to submit patiently to the will of God. Feeling of the pangs is but the human nature and even saints and prophets have to undergo it. In my Master's words a perfect man is he who has in him the feelings of both-the humanity and the divinity, duly adjusted together, both going side by side. If one is deficient in either of them he is not perfect in the real sense. At a higher approach the effect of miseries remains at the surface level and does not go deeper to effect the formation of samskara.

Negation

Negation means having given up every thing of one's own, but the effect of the surroundings one happens to be placed in is there round about him which must cast forth its shadow. In other words if such a one happens to be in the company of those afflicted with sorrow he must have at the time similar feelings of sorrow and condolence by way of fellow feeling and sympathy. That is a human etiquette and must be abided by in the sense of duty.

About two months before the incident I had once a hint of it, when I got no response coming forth for all my prayers for her. But it slipped away instantly from my mind just as it happened in the case of Dinesh which you know about. On receiving the sad news the recollection of the previous idea suddenly flashed across my mind and its awareness was revived. Had it touched my consciousness previously she might have, rather decidedly, lived for a year or two if not more. But my Master seemed to be specially watchful in this respect as he has to take much work from me still. In sister's case the Master has been very kind to grant what I had promised for her during her life time. She is now free from the circle of rebirth and we shall meet her again after we give up our material form.

I must also relate to you a peculiar experience which I had soon after her sad demise. An hour after I felt she was covering my entire body. After about twenty hours I felt that she was entering into my body. The process continues still. Now I feel my body as hers. She is in the brighter world with no thought of either husband or children. she seems to be merging into me having her set up in the brighter world. In this respect, I am now the mother for the children. Her affection was too great to measure even now, and it was motherly. For instance I may say that when she felt I remained half starved she kept on feeding me with liquid diet several times a day with coffee, cocoa, milk etc. I cannot repay her affection. Just as you cannot repay her services.

Your responsibility has now become greater. You have now to play the part of a mother as well, along with that of the father.

I pray to God to bestow patience to the children and to Appaji. May God bless you all.

Yours,

Ram Chandra
